DARES

Do what you Dare and help turn the tide of AIDS in Africa.

Take on a Dare as a powerful act of solidarity with people in Africa who are doing extraordinary things, every day, in the face of the AIDS pandemic

You can volunteer or busk on a street corner. Run a marathon or organize a group dinner. Take on a Dare as an individual or as part of a community.

Here are some ideas:

Acts of courage

  • Fear of heights? Try bungee jumping
  • Stage fright? Perform in front of a crowd
  • Worried about getting old? Let your grey hair grow out

Ingenuity

  • Wear a super hero costume to work
  • Form a human AIDS ribbon
  • Write your first short story or novel

Determination

  • Train and run a 5k
  • Give up meat for a week
  • Quit smoking

Strength in community

  • Paint a mural
  • Host a dinner party
  • Organize a neighbourhood Scrabble tournament

As you can see, anything can be a Dare – as long as you’re excited about it and willing to raise money doing it.
